This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on our website, what each category of cookie does, and the choices open to you. It applies to your use of the site and to your account with us.

What cookies are and why we use them

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your computer, tablet or phone. When you return, the file is sent back to us, so the site can recognise your browser and remember what happened last time. Similar technologies, such as pixels, tags and local storage, work in much the same way, and in this policy we refer to all of them as cookies.

We use cookies for a limited set of purposes:

  • To keep you signed in as you move between pages, and to keep your session secure.
  • To remember settings such as your language, how amounts are displayed, and whether you have already seen a message.
  • To support the safer gambling controls on your account, including deposit limits and time-outs, so that the settings you choose are applied consistently.
  • To understand how the site is used in totals, so that we can repair faults and improve pages that are slow or difficult to follow.
  • To spot unusual activity, prevent fraud and protect accounts from unauthorised access.
  • To measure how people reach the site and, where you have agreed, to show relevant advertising elsewhere.

Some cookies are set by us. Others are set by the providers who supply parts of the site, such as the platform that runs the games, the systems used in the cashier and the tools that measure traffic. Where a provider sets a cookie through our pages, we ask that it is used only for the purpose we have agreed.

Cookies do not give us access to anything else on your device and do not carry viruses. A cookie may hold an identifier that links to information held in your account. Where cookie data counts as personal data, we handle it as described in our privacy policy.

The types of cookies we use

We group cookies into four categories. The cookie notice on the site uses the same categories, so you can see which are active and change your choice for each one.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are needed for the site to work and cannot be switched off in our systems. They keep you signed in, hold your session as you move between pages, spread traffic across our servers and help block automated attempts to reach accounts. They also support the checks we must carry out as a licensed operator, including age and identity verification and the application of any exclusion on your account. Without them you cannot register, log in or play.

Performance and analytics cookies

These cookies tell us how the site is used: which pages are opened, how long a page takes to load, where an error occurs and at what point a form is abandoned. The information is combined across many visitors and used in totals rather than to look at any one person. We use it to fix faults, simplify pages that cause difficulty and plan changes.

Functionality cookies

These cookies remember the choices you make, so you do not have to set them again. Examples include your language, the way amounts are shown, the games you have opened recently and whether you have dismissed a message. They also keep the live chat window working from page to page. If you turn them off, the site still works, but it will not remember your preferences.

Marketing cookies

These cookies record that you have visited the site and which pages you opened, so that advertising shown to you elsewhere is more relevant and so that we can tell which of our campaigns bring people here. They may be set by advertising partners through our pages. We set them only where you have agreed in the cookie notice, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time.

How to manage cookies

You can change your choices at any time, either in the cookie notice on our site or in the settings of your browser.

In the cookie notice. When you first open the site, the notice asks which categories you accept. You can accept all of them, accept only those that are strictly necessary, or choose category by category. The notice can be opened again from the footer of every page. Your choice is itself stored in a cookie, so clearing your cookies will bring the notice back.

In your browser. Every major browser lets you see the cookies stored, delete them and block new ones, usually under privacy or site settings in the browser menu. In most browsers you can do the following:

  • Delete the cookies already stored on your device, either for every site at once or for our site alone.
  • Block cookies set by parties other than the site you are visiting, while allowing the rest.
  • Block all cookies, or ask the browser to prompt you each time a cookie is about to be set.
  • Set the browser to clear all cookies automatically every time you close it.
  • Use a private window, which clears the cookies from that session as soon as the window is closed.

On a phone or tablet the same controls sit in the browser settings, and your device may offer a separate setting that limits advertising identifiers. Choices are stored for each browser and each device, so you will need to set them again on anything else you use.

What happens if you block cookies

Strictly necessary cookies cannot be refused while you use the site, because without them we cannot keep your session secure or carry out the checks we are required to make. If you block them in your browser, parts of the site will stop working.

  • You may be unable to log in, or you may be signed out when you move between pages.
  • The cashier may not complete a deposit or a withdrawal.
  • Games may fail to load or may lose your place.
  • Settings such as language and display will reset on every visit.
  • The cookie notice will appear again each time, because the record of your choice is stored in a cookie.

Turning off performance, functionality or marketing cookies does not stop you using your account. It means the site will be less suited to you, and we will have less information to help us find and fix faults.

How to reach us about cookies

If you have a question about this policy, want to know more about a particular cookie, or wish to exercise your rights over the information a cookie holds, write to us at support@casinodavincigold.co.uk or use the live chat on the site.

Please send your message from the e-mail address registered to your account so that we can identify you, and tell us which browser and device you are using if your question concerns a setting that is not saving.

We update this policy when the cookies we use change or when the law requires it. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and if a change affects the categories you have agreed to, we will ask you again through the cookie notice.
